Kerala Police Registers FIR After Evidence Items From 124 Cases, Including Rado Watch, Goes Missing From Court

The Kerala Police has launched a probe after evidence items, including a Rado watch, went missing from the Evidence Room of a Kerala court.
According to the FIR registered by the Ernakulam Central Police, various items of evidence in 124 cases have gone missing from the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court - II, Ernakulam.
The police has incorporated the offence under Section 306 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 [Theft by clerk or servant of property in possession of master].
The FIR has been registered based on the complaint submitted by the Junior Superintendent of the court. It is stated that the items that went missing pertain to evidence in cases spanning from 01.01.2016 to 21.09.2026.
