The first National Lok Adalat of 2026 for Gujarat is scheduled for March 14 and will be held in the High Court premises.
A notice issued by the High Court Legal Services Committee states:
"The High Court of Gujarat is contemplating to hold the National Lok Adalat on the above-mentioned subjects, specified by NALSA for the matters pending in the High Court of Gujarat, on 14-03-2026. Advocates/ concerned parties, interested to place their pending matters for settlement of dispute in the ensuing National Lok Adalat, are requested to contact the office of High Court Legal Services Committee at the below mentioned address/ e-mail at legalaid-hcguj@nic.in along with the particulars of their matters on or before 13-03-2026. All are requested to co-operate and participate in the National Lok Adalat"
As per the guidelines of NALSA/Gujarat State Legal Services Authority, the Lok Adalat will be covering the following subjects:
- Criminal Compoundable Offences
- NI Act cases under Section 138
- Money Recovery Cases
- MACT Cases
- Labour and Employment dispute cases
- Electricity, Water Bills and other bill payment cases (excluding non compoundable)
- Matrimonial disputes (except divorce_
- Land Acquisition cases
- Services matters relating to pay and allowances and retiral benefits
- Revenue Cases (Pending in High Court only)
- Other civil cases (such as rent, easmentary rights, injunction suits, specific performance suits) etc.
