Kerala High Court, as a part of the first phase in the implementation of paperless courts, has decided to introduce paperless courts in Bail Jurisdiction and Tax matters from 1st August.

As per the notice issued on Thursday, paperless courts are being introduced in Bail jurisdiction and Tax matters (Single Bench), and the division bench considering appeals from the said single benches. 

As per the present roster, the following three benches will commence functioning as paperless courts: 

  • Division Bench consisting of Justice S. V. Bhatti and Justice Basant Balaji
  • Single Bench consisting of Justice Gopinath P.
  • Single Bench consisting of Justice Viju Abraham

In addition to this, all Bail Applications that are considered on other Benches of the High Court will also be in paperless mode from 1st August.

"It has been decided to introduce paperless courts in Bail Jurisdiction (Single Bench) and tax related and other subjects (Single Bench) and the Division Bench considering appeals from the said single bench for tax related and other subjects, as part of the first phase of the implementation of paperless courts in the High Court", the notice stated.
