According to the counsel, the court granted interim protection after considering the legal submissions made on behalf of the educator. The judge has also called for the case diary and antecedent records before taking up the matter for further consideration.
The matter is scheduled to be heard again on June 20, when further arguments are expected to take place after the case diary is placed before the court.
The case relates to an incident on June 2 when a group of 15-20 persons allegedly vandalised the premises of Khan Global Studies (KGS) in Patna and pelted stones at the coaching institute run by Khan Sir.
A day later, police detained two security guards associated with the institute after a purported video surfaced on social media allegedly showing them firing shots during the incident. According to the police, the weapons allegedly used in the firing were seized and sent for forensic examination. An FIR was subsequently registered at Kadamkuan police station, and the two guards are presently in judicial custody.
