The High Court of Kerala on Saturday sought the response of the State Government on a Public Interest Litigation which sough permission to practice homeopathy in relation to COVID-19 as per the advisory issued by the Union Ministry of AYUSH

A bench comprising Justices A K Jayasankaran Nambiar and Shaji P Chaly sought clarification from the government on any prohibition against Homeopathic doctors from practising their system of medicine in relation to COVID-19.

The matter will be next considered on April 17.

The petitioner, M S Vineeth, stated that AYUSH Ministry has advised homeopathy as a preventive cure for COVID-19. Despite that, home doctors are facing prohibition in the State, submitted the petitioner.
