The book combines experiential learning with legal research and case law, with a focus on life insurance. It examines insurance law provisions in light of the history of insurance and landmark judicial precedents in India, presenting the subject from a practitioner's perspective. The work is intended as a guide for emerging advocates, insurance professionals, and officers dealing with insurance disputes and regulatory matters.

The book also highlights LIC's approach to death claims, emphasising institutional sensitivity as a key component of sound insurance practice. Speaking at the launch, Advocate Girotra commended LIC's functioning, particularly in handling death claims.

Justice Saurabh Banerjee and other dignitaries appreciated the effort to present insurance law in an accessible manner for both legal and insurance professionals, especially in the context of the evolving digital landscape.
