The Supreme Court collegium has recommended the elevation of eight Advocates as judges of Karnataka High Court.

The collegium comprising Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, Justice SA Bobde and Justice NV Ramana approved the following names:

Savanur Vishwajith Shetty

Singapuram Raghavachar Krishna Kumar

Maralur Indrakumar Arun

Mohammed Ghouse Shukure Kamal

Ashok Subhashchandra Kinagi

Govindaraj Suraj

Engalaguppe Seetharamaiah Indiresh

Sachin Shankar Magadum

The recommendations had been made by the Karnataka High Court collegium in May last year. While approving the candidature of the above-mentioned lawyers, the Supreme Court collegium remitted the candidature of Advocate Bangalore Vasudevaiah Vidyulatha to the High Court.
