Pursuant to its meeting held on January 15, the Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the names of three Additional Judges of Calcutta High Court to be appointed as Permanent Judges of that High Court. They are:

  1. Justice Shampa Sarkar
  2. Justice Ravi Krishan Kapur
  3. Justice Arindam Mukherjee

They were appointed as Additional Judges on March 12, 2018.

The Collegium has also proposed to extend the term of Justice Protik Prakash Banerjee, Additional Judge of the High Court, for one year w.e.f. March 21, 2020. He was appointed as a judge on September 2017.
