Special CBI Judge Ajay Kumar Kuhar has extended DK Shivakumar's judicial custody till October 25 in a money laundering case.

Appearing for ED, Mr Amit Mahajan sought extension of judicial custody was also sought as the accused's bail application is pending before the High Court the next hearing for which is scheduled for October 15.

During the proceedings, Shivakumar pointed out that he has been subjected to unequal treatment in the prison. While other prisoners have been provided with chairs, he's not provided with one.

He also informed the judge that he's facing severe back pain issues.

In the previous hearing, Shivakumar had also asked for some books to be provided to him in jail, which was granted by the court.

Earlier, Shivakumar was remanded to 14 days of judicial custody on September 17. He has also filed a petition before the Delhi High Court asking for a copy of his statements given to the Enforcement Directorate under section 50 of PMLA.
