The state of government of Jharkhand has appointed Senior Advocate Rajeev Ranjan as the new Advocate General.
He will substitute Senior Advocate Ajit Kumar, who had submitted a letter of resignation to Chief Minister Hemant Soren, on February 6, requesting to be relieved from the position.
As per a notification issued yesterday, Ranjan will take charge of the position with immediate effect, i.e. from February 7.
