The Allahabad High Court on Wednesday witnessed an interesting incident when a woman advocate showed up late for a court hearing due to traffic jam in Prayagraj prompting the court to order the SP Traffic of Prayagraj to personally present himself.

The bench of Justice Saurabh Shyam Shamshery directed asked the SP Traffic to come up with appropriate plan to manage the traffic and parking around the High Court for free ingress and outgress.

Essentially, the Court was dealing with the case of one Taiba, who had moved to the High Court seeking a direction to the lower Court to expediate the proceeding of the case filed by her seeking maintenance from her husband.

Now, on wednesday, her counsel Saher Naqvi faced the wrath of haphazardly parked number of vehicles around the High Court and due to which, she had to park her car about 1 km from the gate of High Court and she had to run to reach this Court before 4 P.M. so that her case may not be dismissed for want of prosecution.

When she reached the court, she narrated that few police personnel were present on road who were unable to manage the jam and parking of vehicles due to which she showed up late for the Court hearing.

On the other hand, Senior Advocate Amrendra Nath Singh also echoed her plight and requested the Court to pass appropriate direction in this regard.

Consequentyl, the Court directed to put up the matter as fresh on September 23, 2022 at 10 A.M and asked the S.P.Traffic, Prayagraj to appear before the Court on the next date fixed with appropriate plan to manage the traffic and parking around the High Court for free ingress and outgress.
