NLS Gangrape: Six persons convicted; Sentence to be pronounced tomorrow

Six persons accused for raping an undergraduate student of National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore has been convicted by a Session’s Court. One accused is absconding and another, a juvenile, is facing trial before the Juvenile Justice Court.

Sessions judge, Krishnamurthy B Sangannavar will pronounce the sentence tomorrow.

The law student was gang raped by the accused eight men on October 13th last year at Bangalore University's Jnanabharathi campus. The incident led to imposition of curfew on the NLSIU Campus.
