About the Course
Knowing the provisions of the CPC is one thing. Understanding how those provisions operate throughout the life of a civil dispute is another.
This course takes participants through the essential stages of civil litigation, including institution of suits, pleadings, trial, interim relief, judgments, execution, appeals and other proceedings. Alongside this, the programme examines technological tools relevant to civil practice, including digital documentation, electronic filing and service, online hearings, digital presentation of arguments and the responsible use of artificial intelligence in legal work.
The programme is designed for practising advocates seeking to strengthen their understanding of civil procedure, young litigators looking to develop a structured understanding of civil suits, trials, execution and appellate proceedings, and law students interested in gaining practical insights into civil litigation.
