President Droupadi Murmu graced the Constitution Day Celebrations, organised by the Supreme Court of India in New Delhi yesterday.

The President said that the Constitution is the source of peaceful social, economic, and political revolution in the world's largest democracy. It is also the source of ensuring individual dignity and our national unity. She highlighted the need to make legal aid easily accessible for people at grassroots level.

She met Chief Justice of India Surya Kant and other Supreme Court Judges on the occasion. She also met the bar representatives - Senior Advocate Vikas Singh, the President of the Supreme Court Bar Association; Senior Advocate Manan Kumar Mishra, Chairperson of the Bar Council of India; Advocate Vipin Nair, President of the Supreme Court Advocates-on-Record Association; Amit Sharma, Vice President of SCOARA; Adv Nikhil Jain, Honorary Secretary of SCOARA.

Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, Attorney General for India R Venkataramani, Solicitor General of India Tushar Mehta were also present on the occasion.
