The Supreme Court Bar Association has requested the Supreme Court to live stream the hearings of the petitions challenging the Waqf Amendment Act 2025.

SCBA Hony.Secretary Vikrant Yadav said in a letter addressed to HS Jaggi, Registrar (Technology) that when the hearing took place on April 16, the Courtroom was overcrowded, leaving no space to sit or stand. It was said that many members felt suffocation and claustrophobic and two advocates fainted in the Courtroom.

A bench comprising Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna, Justice Sanjay Kumar and Justice KV Viswanathan is hearing the matter at 2 PM today.
