The Supreme Court on Wednesday agreed to urgently hear a writ petition which raises the issue of technical glitches in the IIT-JEE(Mains) Exam 2022.

A counsel mentioned the matter before a bench led by Justice DY Chandrachud and requested for urgent hearing ahead of the IIT-JEE (Advanced) Exam which is scheduled on August 28.

The counsel mentioned that though the Chief Justice of India has directed the matter to be listed before the "appropriate bench", the matter has not been listed so far. He pointed out that bench led by Justice Chandrachud has dealt with a matter relating to IIT-JEE(Mains) earlier.

Justice Chandrachud agreed to take up the matter if the case has been assigned to his bench.

On July 29, a bench led by Justice Chandrachud had allowed 15 students to attend the additional session of IIT-JEE(Mains) Exam after they experienced difficulties due to technical glitches in the first session of the exam held in June.
