Solicitor General : May I clarify. We have some objections with the locus of the petitioners. Some IAs were filed. Replies have been filed by authorities that procedure was followed and notices were issued. Process started much before riots.
CU Singh : Despite the status quo order in Jahangirpuri, the same modus operandi was followed in city after city. And this is announced not by municipal authorities but by police.
Dave : Demolition of houses merely becuase somebody is accused in a crime is not acceptable in our society. We are governed by rule of law. Your lordships will have to hear this matter.
Dushyant Dave for petitioners : This matter is extremely serious. Today in Indian Express there was a report that the house of an accused was demolished. In MP too. We don't want this culture. They have to act in accordance with law.
