Bengal Law College, 1st Mrinalini Devi Memorial National Moot Court Competition, 2017

The Bengal Law College National Moot Court Competition, 2017 will be held from January 27th to 29th, 2017.

The competition seeks to sensitize law students in the developing domain of Juvenile Justice Law and Policy, for national and international reforms and provide a platform to students to understand the complex and emerging issues involved therein.

This Competition provides an opportunity to various teams from across India who comes here to battle it out and earn the coveted winners place. This competition induces the opportunity to display research skills, speaking skills and an overall prowess of courtroom etiquette.

Hope to witness the same amount of competition and enthusiastic spirit of participation as witnessed in the previous years, at this year's competition as well.

Kindly nominate a team of three students of the undergraduate law program of your institution to participate in the competition.

Important Dates:

  • Release of Moot Proposition: November 18, 2016

  • Last Day to Register Online: December 15, 2016

  • Last Day to Seek Clarification: December 30, 2016

  • Release of Clarifications: December 31st, 2016

  • Release of Contact Details of Volunteers: January 18, 2017

  • Last Date to Submit Memorials (E-mail): January 20, 2017

  • Last Date to Submit Memorials (With Penalty): January 24, 2017

  • Inaugural Session & Draw of Lots: January 27, 2017

  • Preliminary Rounds: January 28, 2017

  • Final Rounds followed by Valedictory Session: January 29, 2017

  • Winning Team: INR 30,000/- along with trophy & certificates.

  • Runners-up Team: INR 24,000/- along with trophy & certificates.

  • Best Memorial: INR 10,000/- along with trophy & certificates.

  • Best Researcher: INR 5,000/- along with trophy & certificates.

  • Best Student Advocate: INR 5,000/- along with trophy & certificates.
