#MadrasHighCourt has directed its registry not to number a defamation suit filed by #DMK against Ministers #AadhavArjuna and #CTRNirmalKumar till it hears an appeal filed by Minister Nirmal Kumar

On October 5th, a single judge had permitted the party to file a defamation suit with damages of Rs 1 crore against the Ministers for their alleged defamatory statements linking the party to Veeramani Pocso case

On October 6th, Minister CTR Nirmal Kumar preferred an appeal against single judge's order.

During the hearing, DMK's counsel had informed the court that the appeal could be heard on merits and that they would not number the suit till then

The bench recorded the submission and directed the registry not to number the suit till next hearing.

The appeal will be taken up for hearing on 13th October (tomorrow).
