AIAC And AIADR Announce Official Membership With APCAM, Paving The Way For Future Of ADR In Asia-Pacific
The APCAM International ADR Summit was recently held at Le Meridian, New Delhi, marking a historic event for the Asia Pacific Centre for Arbitration and Mediation Center (APCAM). During the summit, it was officially announced that two renowned organizations in the Asia Pacific region, Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) and Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution (AIADR), have joined APCAM as members. This partnership between two prominent institutions in the arbitration landscape is expected to shape the future of alternative dispute resolution in the region. The formal announcement was made by Datuk Sundra Rajoo, the current Director of AIAC and President of AIADR, in the presence of all APCAM members.
APCAM is an International ADR Center formed jointly by leading ADR institutions from eight countries, catering to the requirements of international and cross-border business disputes. The center helps the business community to resolve their international commercial and business disputes by mediation or arbitration under a single set of Mediation and Arbitration Rules and with a uniform fee structure in all the member countries. APCAM also empanels a common panel of international mediators and arbitrators with a uniform accreditation system from all the countries, which would help the parties experience a uniform high-standard practice, bringing credibility and professionalism of mediators and arbitrators.
AIAC, a leading arbitration institution based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, has been recognized for its expertise, professionalism, and commitment to excellence in arbitration services. AIAC is a not-for-profit, non-governmental international arbitral institution accorded independence and certain privileges and immunities by the Government of Malaysia for the purposes of executing its functions as an independent, international organization.
AIADR is the first not-for-profit member-based Asian Institution for the development and advancement of ADR forums, dedicated to promoting the practice of ADR through affordable and accessible education and development of the profession commencing from the Asian and African Continents and reaching out across the globe.
AIAC's and AIADR’s decision to join APCAM reflects its commitment to fostering international cooperation and expanding its reach.
