The Centre for Civil Society is launching Politics of Development (POD), a two-day immersive residential course which will discuss the fundamental role played by politics, whether in perpetuating poverty or supporting inclusive development. The program includes lectures by domain specialists, policymakers and policy enthusiasts, supplemented with games, movies, and presentations. Through POD, CCS aims to give an insight into how history, vested interests and the pulls of electoral democracy shape our policy, and what can be done to empower citizens.

Program Highlights:

  • A 2-day intensive residential course running on the philosophy of integrated learning
  • Keynote speakers from across the industry and policy domain
  • 120 students from diverse backgrounds and skillsets

Dates: 2nd-3rd February 2019

Selection Process: Since the seats are limited and the candidates will be selected on a rolling basis, those who apply earlier will have a higher chance of selection. Early birds can also avail a discount of 15% corresponding to the deadlines.
