Indian Democracy At Work (IDAW) is an annual conference series jointly organised by the Foundation for Democratic Reforms, Indian School of Business (Bharti Institute of Public Policy) and the University of Hyderabad (Department of Political Science), with the objective to facilitate dialogue on our democracy and provide a launchpad for ideas.

About the event:

The second edition of the IDAW Conference is being organised virtually, spread across two weekends from 20th-28th February 2021. The theme for this year's edition of the Conference is Rule of Law.

This Conference is geared towards providing a platform for constructive conversation between all relevant stakeholders on how to make our rule of law institutions deliver better results.

The four sub-themes are -

● Police

● Prosecution

● Procedural law

● Judiciary

Structure of the Conference:

  • 10 sessions focussing on the 4 sub-themes on weekends
  • 4 topical conversations during the week
  • Over 40 eminent experts to participate in deliberations
  • Aim - to reach a consensus on pragmatic reforms
