SVKM's NMIMS Indore (Deemed-to-be University) is a constituent campus of the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, established in 1981 and recognised under UGC norms. Details of the event
The Third Inter-University Mediation Competition (IUMC) 2026 is a national-level mediation competition organised by the School of Law, NMIMS Indore in collaboration with Mirae Asset Foundation and leading law firms including SNG & Partners, Poovayya & Co., Hammurabi & Solomon Partners, and Wadhwa & Co.. through Samadhan (ADRC). The competition provides law students with a practice-oriented platform to engage with real-world mediation scenarios, encouraging collaborative problem-solving, negotiation, and ethical dispute resolutionz
Eligibility
- Law Colleges/Universities recognised by the Bar Council of India (BCI) are eligible to participate.
- Grant-in-Aid Law Colleges/Universities recognised under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956 are also eligible to participate.
- Only bona fide students pursuing 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programmes during the current academic year are eligible.
- Each institution may nominate a maximum of two teams.
- Cross-university teams are not permitted.
- Each team shall consist of three members: one mediator and one client–counsel pair.

Date of Competition
- Preliminary rounds: 20th and 21st February(ONLINE Mode)
- Advanced Rounds: 14th and 15th March (Offline Mode, NMIMS INDORE – On Campus)
How To Register?
Interested teams must register through the Google Form provided below and complete the payment process within the prescribed timeline. A maximum of 60 teams will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Fee details
- Preliminary Rounds (Online): ₹3,500 per team
- Grant-in-Aid Colleges: ₹1,750 per team
- For teams qualifying for the advanced rounds (Offline):
- ₹3,000 per mediating pair + ₹1,500 per mediator (Accommodation & Food)
- Grant-in-Aid Colleges: ₹1,500 per mediating pair + ₹750 per mediator

- Best Mediating Pair: ₹15,000 + Certificate of Achievement + Internship Opportunity
- Runner-Up Mediating Pair: ₹12,000 + Certificate of Merit + Internship Opportunity
