A plea has been filed before the Delhi High Court against the protest called by Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijit Dipke at Central Park in Central Delhi's Connaught Place.

Dipke has called for a nationwide 'Lehra do Tiranga' demonstration tomorrow, urging citizens to gather with the national flag.

A division bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Nitin Wasudeo Sambre and Justice Sanjay Sharma agreed to hear the matter at 2:30 PM today.

The counsel mentioning the matter said that due to the protest, entire Connaught Place area will be shut down completely.

He also cited that this is a Dusshehra weekend and people will be out of work due to the CJP protest.

Noting that Supreme Court is taking care of the issue, the Court asked counsel to inform the other side and appear at 2:30 PM, with case details and orders to be passed by the Apex Court.

The protest call follows the remand of CJP co-conveners Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka to five days of judicial custody.

Both leaders were arrested for allegedly trespassing into Jantar Mantar, violating bond conditions and obstructing police personnel on duty. They have been sent to Tihar Jail.
