Jharkhand HC Vacation Bench Led By Justice Rongon Mukhopadhyay Disposes 853 Cases During Summer Break

The Jharkhand High Court's Vacation Bench led by Justice Rongon Mukhopadhyay disposed of 853 cases between 18 May and 4 June 2026.

During this period, a total of 891 cases were listed before Court No. 04. Of these, 809 main cases and 44 miscellaneous cases were disposed of.

The highest was on 29 May, when 331 single bench matters were taken up. This included 249 bail applications, 63 anticipatory bail applications, 8 criminal appeals, 8 writ petitions, 2 criminal revisions and 1 CMP matter.

On 26 May, 224 single bench matters were listed, while 180 matters were listed on 2 June and 152 matters on 4 June.

The figures reflect the Court's continuing focus on urgent criminal and bail matters during the vacation period.
