Kerala High Court's District Court Case Management System Wins National Award For E-Governance For AI- Driven Citizen-Centric Services

The Kerala High Court's District Court Case Management System (DCMS) has been awarded the Gold Award in the National awards for e-Governance which aims to recognise and promote excellence in implementation of e-Governance initiatives. 

The National Awards for e-Governance has awards in seven categories. DCMS is awarded Gold award in the second category which is for Innovation by Use of AI and Other New Age Technologies for Providing Citizen-centric services (State & State PSUs). There were a total of 104 nominations in the category. 

The District Court Case Management System is a comprehensive, end-to-end digital platform implemented across the District Judiciary of Kerala with the objective of transforming court administration and enabling a paperless judicial ecosystem. The system manages the complete lifecycle of cases, from filing to disposal.

DCMS use Artificial Intelligence and new-age technologies extensively, to improve judicial processes and citizen services. The system incorporates AI-powered features, including AI-based Case Crux Creation, AI-assisted Case Summarisation, Intelligent Chatbot Services, Advanced Search and Information Retrieval Mechanisms, live Court Module for paperless eco system, AI Based Voice-to-Text capabilities integrated within judicial workflows, automation and intelligent assistance for various court processes.

It also has Plead Guilty Module for speedy disposal, e-filing and Online Scrutiny and Cause list and Court Proceedings. 

DCMS helps in the modernisation of judicial administration by reducing paper dependency, streamlining court procedures, improving access to information, and enabling faster and more efficient service delivery to citizens. 

The technology has been conceptualized, designed, developed, and implemented entirely by the Kerala High Court's IT Teams.
