The Punjab & Haryana High Court Bar Association has declared a 'no work day' for the second consecutive day on July 11 due to heavy rainfall in the region.

The Association has once again requested the High Court not to pass any adverse orders on July 11 due to the absence of lawyers amid waterlogging and red alert issued by the weather authorities in the tricity of Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula.

“It is further requested that in matters where extreme urgency is there the Hon'ble Courts may please be requested to grant short dates,” it said in a letter to the high court administration.

On Sunday also, the Bar Association had requested the High Court not to pass any adverse orders on July 10 due to the absence of lawyers caused by the heavy rainfall.
