Jharkhand Advocate-General of Binod Poddar has resigned from his post, citing personal reasons.
The Public Relation Department informed on Friday that Poddar has sent his resignation of Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das.
While confirming the report, Poddar did not divulge the exact reason for taking the step.
Poddar joined as Advocate General of the state on May 21, 2015. In March 2017, he had received the National Law Day award for expertise in Constitution.
His resignation comes after a report in a local daily regarding the Advocate-General not coming to his office in Jharkhand High Court regularly in the recent past.
