The Centre of Excellence on Cyber Law and Artificial Intelligence Governance and Ethics, established at NUSRL, Ranchi, is dedicated to promoting academic research, policy engagement, and informed discourse in the fast-evolving fields of cyber jurisprudence and technology ethics. The Centre seeks to examine contemporary developments in data protection, algorithmic accountability, digital rights, cybersecurity, and the ethical deployment of emerging technologies through interdisciplinary and research-oriented initiatives.

By facilitating scholarly discussions, publications, seminars, and collaborations with academicians, tech practitioners, policymakers, and industry stakeholders, the Centre aims to contribute to the development of cyber jurisprudence and strengthen the understanding of legal and policy challenges affecting netizens, technology developers, and state regulators alike.

About the Blog

The Blog of the Centre of Excellence on Cyber Law and Artificial Intelligence Governance and Ethics serves as a platform for fostering academic discourse, policy engagement, and critical analysis of contemporary issues relating to technology law. The Blog encourages contributions that examine the legal, social, economic, and regulatory dimensions of cyberspace and AI governance while remaining accessible, analytical, and research-driven.

Situated in a rapidly evolving digital landscape, where digital public infrastructure and technological innovation are advancing at an unprecedented pace, the Centre is acutely aware of the complex challenges that define the modern internet and AI ecosystem. The proliferation of agentic AI, synthetic media (deepfakes), algorithmic bias, and sophisticated cyber threats present pressing legal and human rights questions. Therefore, the Blog particularly welcomes submissions that explore these technological complexities, critically analyzing how global technology standards intersect with domestic realities, localized data challenges, and emerging frameworks like India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA).

The objective of the Blog is to bridge the gap between academic scholarship, policymaking, industry practices, and digital rights by disseminating high-quality and impactful research.
