Amity Law School, Amity University Haryana, is set to organise the 8th ALS Moot Court Competition, 2026, from October 30 to November 1, 2026, bringing together law students from across the country to engage in legal research, advocacy and courtroom simulations.
The competition will focus on contemporary legal issues involving executive authority, technological governance and constitutional rights. The moot proposition examines the legal implications of a national entrance examination leak allegedly executed through an encrypted digital platform.
Participants will address issues including the constitutionality of the Prevention of Examination Malpractices Act (PEMA), 2013, the liability of digital intermediaries in the context of executive bans, and the permissible limits of state authority in the face of political dissent.
The competition will be organised by the Amity Moot Court Society, Amity Law School, Haryana. The institution said the event aims to provide law students with practical experience in legal research, written and oral advocacy, and the application of statutes and precedents.
The competition will begin with the inauguration ceremony and Researchers' Test on October 30, followed by the memorial exchange. The preliminary and quarter-final rounds will take place on October 31, while the semi-final and final rounds, along with the valedictory ceremony, are scheduled for November 1.
The last date for submission of soft copies of memorials is October 24, 2026. The brochure states that provisional registration closed on September 25, while the payment deadline was September 30.
The competition is the eighth edition of the national moot court series organised by Amity Law School. The previous edition, held in November 2025, saw participation from over 40 teams. The University of Allahabad emerged as the winner, while Panjab University UILS, Chandigarh, was the runner-up.
