DSNLU Announces 2nd Shri D.V. Subba Rao National Mediation Competition 2025–26

Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU) is a premier law school located in Visakhapatnam, established by the Andhra Pradesh Government under the DSNLU Act, 2008. The university is recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and offers a wide range of academic programs, including a five-year integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), a one-year LL.M. with specializations, and doctoral degrees. DSNLU focuses on providing high-quality legal education and emphasizes clinical aspects to deliver world-class education and research.

About Shri D.V. Subba Rao National Mediation Competition

This competition is designed to provide law students with an immersive experience in mediation, a vital skill in the legal profession. Participants will engage in realistic mediation scenarios, helping them develop crucial negotiation and conflict resolution skills. The competition features seasoned judges and mediation experts from across the country, offering participants invaluable insights and feedback. Additionally, this competition offers an enriching opportunity for participants to connect with distinguished ADR experts from around the country.

The inaugural edition of this competition was held from 20th to 22nd September 2024, witnessed enthusiastic participation from 24 teams from across the country and was widely appreciated for its practical and immersive approach to mediation training. The Brochure and Rule Book for the First Edition were unveiled by the Hon'ble Justice Shri J.K. Maheshwari of the Supreme Court of India at DSNLU Campus.

About 2nd Shri D.V. Subba Rao National Mediation Competition, 2025-2026

Building on the successful completion of the 1st Edition, the University is proud to announce the 2nd Edition of the Shri D.V. Subba Rao National Mediation Competition. Continuing the legacy of Shri D.V. Subba Rao, who was a distinguished jurist and legal scholar, widely respected for his contributions to alternative dispute resolution and legal education in India.

The Second Edition seeks to further strengthen the platform for experiential learning in mediation. The Competition is designed to provide law students with hands-on exposure to realistic mediation scenarios, assessed by experienced judges and mediation professionals from across India. Through this initiative, DSNLU aims to nurture and inspire the next generation of skilled mediators and negotiators.
