The Radhey Krishna Legal Aid Foundation (RKLAF) is a dedicated non-profit organization focused on institutional accountability, constitutional literacy, and pro-bono legal representation. Guided by the principle “With You. For You. Nyaya Tak,” RKLAF works to bridge the gap between high-level judicial mandates and their ground-level implementation through data-driven advocacy and strategic litigation.

The Initiative: National Child Safety Audit 2026 Following a series of institutional safety lapses across India, RKLAF is launching a synchronized Pan-India Socio-Legal National Audit to verify administrative compliance with mandatory safety protocols.

The drive aims to scrutinize the adherence of educational institutions to the Supreme Court's mandate in Barun Chandra Thakur v. Union of India (Pradyuman Thakur Case), the POCSO Rules, 2020, and the Ministry of Education's Safety Guidelines (2021).

  • Certification: A National Certificate of Leadership/Volunteering from RKLAF.
  • Internship Priority: Exceptional performers will be shortlisted for a physical internship at RKLAF HQ, New Delhi, with exposure to high-impact litigation and policy research.
  • Mentorship: Direct mentorship from senior legal professionals and policy experts.
  • Authorship: Contributors will be credited in the “National School Safety Index 2026” report to be submitted to the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR).
  • Safe-Guarding & Ethical Protocol RKLAF maintains a strict “Ethical Firebreak.” This is an administrative audit of systems. Volunteers are strictly prohibited from contacting, interviewing, or identifying any minors or victims of abuse.

Essential Qualification and Experience

  • Students currently enrolled in a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. program /LLM program or a Bachelor's/master's in social work (BSW/MSW) from a recognized university/ involved in Social Work
  • Volunteers from all over the country are invited.
  • Strong interest in Administrative Law, POCSO, and Human Rights.
  • Commitment to professional ethics and non-aggressive field conduct.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Campus Ambassadors (Chapter Heads): To establish RKLAF Student Chapters, lead local university teams, and oversee district-level filing and data consolidation. (a) Objective: Establish an official RKLAF Student Chapter at your University and (b) Tenure- 1 year.
  • RTI & Social Audit Volunteers: To execute field-level audits, handle filing logistics (Section 6 & Section 2(j) of the RTI Act), and document institutional responses.
  • Legal Wing (Law Students): Drafting and filing standardized RTIs to District Education Officers (DEOs) to audit administrative compliance, tracking receipts, and documenting compliance/non-compliance of local institutions. (a) Social Wing (Social Work/Social Science Students): Conducting community perception surveys with parents and local stakeholders to verify ground realities. (b) Tenure: January 2026 (Winter Batch).
