Ms. Deepti Gaur Mukerjee, Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, formally launched the LL.M. in Corporate Law and Management, a postgraduate degree program aimed at strengthening expertise in corporate law, governance, and regulatory frameworks in India, marking a significant milestone in advancing specialized legal education aligned with the needs of the corporate sector.
Jointly offered by the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs and the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam, this innovative program is designed to integrate legal knowledge with managerial and governance perspectives. It aims to prepare professionals for leadership roles in corporate law, compliance, policy-making, and business administration, while bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.
Structured as a fully residential program, the LL.M. provides a balanced blend of academic rigor and practical exposure. The first year of the program is conducted at the NLUJAA campus in Assam, while the second year is hosted at the IICA campus in Manesar. The curriculum emphasizes interdisciplinary learning, research, and industry engagement, with opportunities for interaction with policymakers, regulators, and domain experts.
