Juris Centre, along with the contributing authors, successfully completed its first book project in 2023, in collaboration with Shwetwarna Prakashan. Multiple volumes of "Constitutional Contemplations: Essays and Perspectives" are currently listed on Amazon India and Shwetwarna websites. Other successful book projects include 'The Sovereign Dictum' and 'Guardians of Innovation'.
About the Current Opportunity
Juris Centre has announced a new book project in collaboration with Shwetwarna Prakashan. The upcoming book 'Lex Indica: Critical Essays on Contemporary Law' (ISBN: 978-81-69342-12-4) promises to delve deep into the complexities and nuances of law. Featuring a diverse array of contributors and thought-provoking essays, the volume seeks to explore emerging trends, critical debates and evolving perspectives in legal scholarship.
Juris Centre calls for contributing authors for Lex Indica. They are seeking fresh insights, diverse perspectives and innovative approaches to law. Whether you are passionate about constitutional law and amendments, emerging trends in IPR or International Law, or any other aspect of law, we encourage you to share your expertise and contribute to this enriching dialogue.
Juris Centre has received a lot of positive feedback and interest in their projects, and they would be honored to feature your work in the anthology if you're willing to contribute. Selected legal essays will be published in the book along with the name, designation, bio-note and picture (optional) of the author. The topic will be allotted to you after discussion, giving priority to your preference.
Who is Eligible?
● Undergraduate and postgraduate law students.
● Students pursuing PhD program in law.
● Advocates and other professionals.
Publication Process and Timeline
● Registration for contributing authors is open till 21st June, 2026.
● After registration, the topic will be discussed with you. Your preference will be given priority. If you want, a topic will be assigned to you.
● The topic can be related to any field of law.
● The deadline for submission of your essay will be 30th June, 2026.
● If you need any help, clarifications or guidance while writing, the team will be there to assist you over WhatsApp chat.
● After submission of your essay, your work will be reviewed. Your essay may be sent back to you with some recommended changes.
● The book is expected to be published in the third week of July, 2026.
● Two hard-bound copies of the book and publication certificate(s) will be delivered to your home.
Writing Guidelines
The broad guidelines for essay writing shall be as follows. More detailed guidelines will be shared with you after registration.
● Co-authorship is limited to a maximum of two authors in a team. The co-authors may or may not be from the same institution.
● Provisional word count of the essay is between 1800 and 3000 words. Word count does not include citations.
● Font: Times New Roman font, 12 size and 1.5 line spacing for main text and headings. For footnotes, font size 10 with 1 line spacing.
● Citations are mandatory. You will be required to use ILI or Bluebook citation format.
● Plagiarism should be below 15%. We will run plagiarism checks on all essays, and if plagiarism (above 15%) is detected, we will send the essay back to you for correction along with the plagiarism report.
● Maintain Academic Objectivity: Avoid strong language and radical political viewpoints. Avoid too many negative comments without constructive suggestions.
● Write with clarity and avoid grammatical mistakes.
Perks of Publication
● Due credit will be given to you in the book. Your essay will be published along with your name, designation, picture (optional) and bio-note.
● You will receive two hard-bound copies of the book.
● You will receive a publication certificate. In case of co-authored essays, both authors will be awarded the certificate.
Participation Fee
To make this endeavor a reality, there is a participation fee of INR 3000. This fee covers all aspects of publication, including editing, design, printing and distribution.
The fee is the same for both single-authored and co-authored essays.
In the rare case that your essay is not included in the book despite meeting all deadlines and conforming to guidelines, you will receive a 100% refund on the fee.
Please note that the fee is for participation as author only and publication is based solely on merit of the essay which will be ensured by the authors with the help of our team during the writing process.
