Madhya Pradesh Govt Approves ₹197.13 Crore For Phase-II Construction Of Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur
The Council of Ministers, Government of Madhya Pradesh, on December 22, 2025, approved a financial sanction of ₹197.13 crore for Phase-II construction at Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur. The approved works include the construction of an Administration Block, Academic Block, staff housing, a campus boundary wall, and other allied infrastructure. The University presently offers B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), LL.M., and Ph.D. programmes.
Under the statutory framework of the University, Justice J. K. Maheshwari, Judge, Supreme Court of India, serves as the Visitor and provides institutional guidance. The University also functions under the ex-officio oversight of Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva, Chief Justice of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh and Chancellor, and Justice Vivek Agarwal, Judge, High Court of Madhya Pradesh and Member, General Council.
On this occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Sinha Vice-Chancellor, and Dr. Praveen Tripathi, Registrar expressed their profound gratitude to Dr. Mohan Yadav, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, for his continued support in strengthening the University's permanent campus. They also acknowledged Shri Inder Singh Parmar, Minister of Higher Education, the Council of Ministers, various Government Departments, and the members of the General Council, Executive Council, Academic Council, Finance Committee, and other governing bodies for their guidance and cooperation.
Phase-I of the campus is nearing completion, comprising separate Girls' and Boys' Hostels with 824 rooms and large independent mess facilities. The University proposes to shift its housing and allied amenities to the new campus at the earliest, subject to statutory and administrative formalities.
Reaffirming its public mission, the University remains committed to inclusive, enabling legal education grounded in constitutional values, access to justice, and social justice, and to nurturing future lawyers and leaders dedicated to public service.
