NUSRL's Kautilya Society Awarded 'Best Society Of The Year' At Kautilya Society Conclave
The Kautilya Society of the National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi, was awarded the “Best Society of the Year” at the Kautilya Society Conclave organised at the India International Centre, New Delhi.
The two-day conclave, conducted on April 4 and 5, brought together representatives from Kautilya Societies across National Law Universities and served as a platform for discussions on law, governance and public policy. Representing NUSRL, Founding Convenor Gaurav Kumar Mandal and Shafique Fatima participated in the conclave and presented the society's work and initiatives undertaken during the academic year.
The conclave featured several sessions, including the National Vision Session, Lighting Talks, Kautilya Chapter Showcase, Policy Impact Panel, Heritage Walk at Lodhi Garden and the “Construction for Mars” exercise. The sessions witnessed interactions with distinguished speakers and professionals, including Swapnil Tripathi, Malvish Kazi, Apoorva Manwani, Mridul Godha, Shriya Nayyar, Aaditya Gambhir, Saket Surya, Anish Gawande, Mahwish Fatima, Rashita Goyal, Lalit Panda, Dr. Mayur Gupta, Gautam Jha, Mr. Hasnain, discussions during the conclave focused on public policy, governance, legislative research, legal education and institutional engagement.
As part of the Kautilya Chapter Showcase, participating universities presented their work relating to research initiatives, policy engagement, academic events and institutional collaborations undertaken over the past year. The recognition conferred upon NUSRL reflected the consistency of its student-led initiatives and its engagement with contemporary policy discourse.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Ashok R. Patil, extended his wishes and congratulations to the Faculty Convenor Dr. Utkarsh Verma, Mahvish Kazmi, Programme Manager, Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy, Founding Convenor Gaurav Kumar Mandal, and the entire student team of the Kautilya Society for their achievement and continued contribution towards policy discourse and academic engagement.
The recognition highlighted NUSRL's continued emphasis on interdisciplinary learning, public policy engagement and academic discourse within legal education.
