Results of RGNUL Exagium 2019 Announced

The Department of English, Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab has announced the results of RGNUL Exagium 2019, an Online International Essay Writing Competition. The Competition was open to all Undergraduates, Postgraduates and Research Scholars of diverse disciplines. Essays based on a reading of literary texts were invited. Students from various courses participated like - BA.LL.B. (Hons.), MA (English), BA (English Hons.), BA (Psychology Hons.), BE, B.Tech, MBBS, BA and B.Sc (Medical) participated in the event.

Several essays based on the reading of literary classics were received from India and abroad from reputed universities like USOL, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Delhi, Daulat Ram College, Delhi, Jai Hind College Mumbai, Apeejay College Jalandhar, Law College Dehradun, GCG Patiala, Multani Mal Modi College Patiala, Faculty of Law, AMU Aligarh, Panjab University Chandigarh, PEC Technical University, Samarth College of Engineering and Technology, Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University and the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law was received.

Winners

Sumegha Vaid and Karanbir Singh Jallo, MA (English), Department of English & Cultural Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh won the first the prize for their essay on Ray Bradbury's Farenheit 451.

Bhumika Singh, BA (English Hons.), Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi was adjudged second for her essay on Sylvia Path's The Bell Jar.

Kaif Siddiqui and Ayesha Nasir Alavi BA.LLB (Hons.), Faculty of Law, Aligarh Muslim University bagged the third position.
