Dr. Rajendra Prasad National Law University (RPNLU), Prayagraj has won the National Moot Court Competition hosted by the Department of Law, University of North Bengal, Darjeeling, held on 11–12 December 2025.Standing out in a field of more than fifty teams representing premier law institutions like NLU, Meghalaya, NLU Tripura, Christ University, Delhi- the RPNLU, Prayagraj delivered an excellent performance marked by intellectual rigour, disciplined advocacy, and an unwavering commitment to professional excellence.
This Moot Competition was centered on the constitutional–criminal law proposition involving custodial rights, access to counsel, and the permissible limits of police interrogation. This victory represents not only a significant achievement for the participating students but also a testament to the University's rapidly advancing reputation in the national mooting landscape.
The winning team comprised Ms. Srijal Mishra, Mr. Abhyuday Sharan, and Mr. Abhishek Raj. The team was guided by Vice Chancellor Sr. Prof. (Dr.) Usha Tandon and mentored by Dr. Sonika, Faculty Convener, Moot Court Society. During the competition, the team relied on detailed research and a clear understanding of constitutional and criminal law issues. They responded effectively to questions from the judges and maintained proper courtroom conduct throughout the proceedings.
A special distinction was awarded to Ms. Srijal Mishra, who received the Best Speaker Award in recognition of her outstanding oratorical skills, clarity of thought, and exemplary courtroom demeanor.
Vice Chancellor Sr. Prof. (Dr.) Usha Tandon expressed profound pride in the team's accomplishments and warmly acknowledged the dedication and discipline that led to this national victory. She remarked:

The victory adds to RPNLU Prayagraj's participation and performance record in national-level moot court competitions.
