The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab (RGNUL), organised the 14th RGNUL National Moot Court Competition, 2026, on April 17–18, 2026. The competition aimed to acquaint students with emerging jurisprudence on the expansion of anti-corruption laws to white-collar crimes, digital privacy, and constitutional safeguards concerning digital self-incrimination and biometrics in an increasingly digital era.

The competition was organised by the RGNUL Moot Court Committee (RMCC) under the guidance of the faculty coordinator, Dr. Jaswinder Kaur, Assistant Professor of Law, along with the Centre for Advanced Studies in Criminal Law, RGNUL. The moot proposition was prepared by Mr. Souradeep Mukhopadhyay, Assistant Professor at OP Jindal Global Law School. It examined the scope of 'public servant' status under anti-corruption laws in the context of white-collar crimes and addressed issues of evidence admissibility under relevant legal frameworks. The proposition also explored contemporary concerns such as digital privacy versus the right against self-incrimination, highlighting the tension between modern forensic techniques and constitutional protections in India's evolving legal landscape.

Forty teams from law schools across the country participated, underscoring the competition's national character. The preliminary and octa-final rounds were conducted virtually on April 4, 2026.
