Call For Applications: Panellists & Audience For UN75 Online Student Dialogue On SDGs [19th Sept]

Update: 2020-09-13 13:01 GMT

Centre for Advanced Study in International Humanitarian Law (CASH), Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, in collaboration with United Nations 75 (UN75), will be hosting an Online Student Dialogue on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Date: 19th September 2020

Time: 6:00 PM onwards

What Is A UN75 Dialogue: The UN is marking its 75th anniversary at a time of great disruption for the world, compounded by an unprecedented global health crisis with severe economic and social impacts. Our collective response to Covid-19 will determine how fast the world recovers, whether we achieve the SDGs, and how well we handle pressing challenges: from the climate crisis to pandemics, inequalities, new forms of violence, and rapid changes in technology and in our population.

Why Take Part: It is vital that peoples' voices are heard at this crucial time for the world. Collectively, the dialogues represent the largest-ever exercise in gathering public opinion and crowdsourcing solutions to global challenges. People's views and ideas will be featured on an online platform and presented to world leaders at the official commemoration of the 75th anniversary in September 2020. After September, the dialogues will shift from gathering views to discussing how best to take forward the priorities and proposals generated.

Who can participate: Anyone! The Dialogue aims to hear from all communities, to engage youth and those whose voices are often not heard in global discussions, such as indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, and migrants and displaced people.

Audience Registration: The event will be open for everyone who wishes to get a chance to listen to ideas that will shape our future. E-certificate will be given to the audience.

Panellist Registration: The Dialogue is looking for speakers to form part of the panels for the online dialogue. Panellists will be given an opportunity to speak for 4-5 minutes to identify gaps in policy formulation and approach the meaningful implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. E-certificate will be given to panellists.

Closing date for Registration: September 16, 2020 11:59 PM

Platform: Cisco Webex.

Participants must have access to good quality internet, as well as a computer with video and audio facilities.
