The Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law (RGSOIPL), Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, is organising the 8th Research Colloquium and Annual Research Scholars' Day on 30–31 October 2026 as part of IIT Kharagpur's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

The event, themed “Navigating the Wild: Law, Technology and the Architecture of Accountability,” will explore emerging legal challenges arising from rapidly evolving technologies. It will bring together research scholars, faculty, practitioners, regulators and policymakers for interdisciplinary academic engagement. Key areas include algorithmic liability, data privacy and surveillance, AI and platform regulation, generative AI and intellectual property, blockchain, biotechnology, and semiconductor law. The programme will feature paper presentations, poster sessions, workshops, round-table discussions, World Café sessions and plenary engagements, providing a platform for scholarly exchange, research validation and discussion on contemporary law–technology questions.
