MNLU Nagpur Announces 2nd National Conference On Gender Justice: Breaking Stereotypes, Discriminations & Prejudices
Centre for Gender Justice Studies, MNLU Nagpur is organising the 2nd National Conference on Gender Justice: Breaking Stereotypes, Discrimination and Prejudice 2026.
Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur, will host the conference on 7 March 2026, with the objective of fostering meaningful dialogue on the social, legal, and structural challenges surrounding gender justice in India.
The conference underscores the critical distinction between sex as a biological attribute and gender as a social construct shaped by long-standing norms. Despite constitutional guarantees of equality and equal opportunity, deep-rooted discrimination and prejudice continue to affect marginalized genders. With SDG 5 setting the global goal of achieving gender equality by 2030, the conference aims to examine persistent barriers and promote active engagement—socially, economically, and politically.
Bringing together academics, practitioners, activists, and students, the event will explore the evolving landscape of gender rights, challenge stereotypes, and deliberate on strengthening inclusive policy frameworks.
The last date for registration is January 31, 2026.
