In light of the widespread anxiety about the outbreak of COVID-19 or novel coronavirus, Registrar General of the Bombay High Court has notified the general public, litigants and lawyers that visiting court premises must be avoided unless it is necessary.

The 5-page circular issued by SB Aggarwal, Registrar General of the Bombay High Court, lists out various symptoms, dos and don'ts to keep in my mind and illustrates ways of washing hands properly.

As reported yesterday, the Bombay Bar Association had written to the Acting Chief Justice suggesting various precautionary steps in order to tackle the deadly virus and the suggestions were accepted by the High Court administration.
