The Bar Council of Uttar Pradesh has set up a nine-member Committee to probe the violent clash between lawyers at Wazirganj District Court of Lucknow. The council has directed the Committee to submit its report by March 1.

On Thursday, February 13, the Lucknow court was rocked by a crude-bomb blast, allegedly due to a feud between two groups of lawyers.

As per the order issued by the Bar Council's Chairman, Hari Shankar Singh,

Sanjeev Lodhi, Joint Secretary of the Lucknow Bar Association, and four others were injured in the incident. Subsequently, a furious of group of lawyers assaulted Advocate Jeetu Yadav, General Secretary of the Bar Association, who is presently being probed for causing the blast.

The Bar Council has condemned the incident and has appointed the following of its members on the probe Committee:

  2. Arun Kumar Tripathi
  3. Paresh Mishra
  4. Abdul Razzak Khan
  5. Akhilesh Awasthi
  6. Prashant Singh Atal
  7. Janki Sharan Pandey
  8. Pradeep Kumar Singh
