In view of phase three of the nationwide lockdown, the Madhya Pradesh High Court has extended the period of suspension of regular court work and has announced that only urgent matters will be heard via video conferencing till May 17, 2020.

In a Circular issued by the Registrar General of the High Court on Saturday, it has been intimated that the operation of previous Circulars issued by the High Court on March 25, April 14 and April 20 stand extended.

In effect, the current mode of restrictive functioning of all the courts in the state will be continued till May 17, 2020.

Till 30th April 2020, total of 196 cases have been heard through video conferencing by High Court of Madhya Pradesh and more than 12496 cases have been heard through video conferencing by Subordinate Courts in the State of Madhya Pradesh.
