A 32-year-old advocate practicing before the Madhya Pradesh High Court's Jabalpur Bench today died by suicide, triggering a protest by fellow advocates within the High Court's premises in Jabalpur.

As per a report published in a hindi news portal Nai Duniya, a young advocate Anurag Sahu was appearing before a bench of the High Court to oppose the bail application of a rape accused, and during the hearing of the case, he had an argument with the presiding judge as well as the senior advocate, after which, he went to his home, wherein he died by suicide.

After the information regarding his death by suicide reached the lawyers, they started protesting by way of shouting slogans. Reportedly, they also carried the advocate's dead body to the High Court premises seeking a probe into the matter. 

During the protest, the videos of which are making rounds on social media, some agitated lawyers vandalized the court-rooms, as well as the office of a senior advocate within the State Bar building, set the same on fire. The police had to resort to lathi-charge using mild force to control the situation.
