Pracha- We ask for permissions. They should tell us that only 10 ppl can protest. Why reject one side's permission, when the other side is allowed?
Judge Lau- There should be no inconvenience to people. A lot of people have approached courts saying they are suffering due to protests.
People should not suffer..and in the long run you will be held up. You cannot inconvenience people by going out in lakhs and lakhs
Talking of protests, Judge Lau says It's a recent trend these days that last resort comes first these days. People are protesting first, without dialogue. Why not try dialogue first?, asks Judge.
Judge Lau asks Pracha what he suggests if Azad is released, how will he ensure there is no damage, inconvenience?
PP says there were calls for several places.
Pracha says it is a people's movement, which does not have a specific call (refering to the incidents of property damage post Azad's call).
The question being discussed is when did Azad's call end. And if violence ensued after that, whether the others who came, were part of an extended call or not.
Pracha- Even if I concede to violence, my call had ended before any of the alleged damages took place.
In the FIR, it is stated that after a certain point people dispersed. Pracha says Azad's call ended after 4.5 hrs. When other ppl who answered it left.
Pracha adds that that's not the case here.
