Supreme Court issues new mentioning guidelines. By a circular dated 28th April 2014 five new mentioning guidelines has been issued.

Guidelines are as follows




According to a TOI report last week Justice Lodha had barred senior advocates from mentioning cases for early hearing or urgent listing in an attempt to re-establish a forgotten tradition of giving opportunity to youngsters to develop clarity in presenting facts before the Supreme Court. Last week Justice Lodha had stopped the practice of mentioning of Cases.

"The culture of adjournment has to go. Seeking adjournment of scheduled hearing of cases at the drop of a hat must go. Unless a lawyer falls very ill, requests for adjournment must not be made, Request for adjournment has to be made much in advance and would be decided by a registrar of the Supreme Court. The judicial time of the court cannot be spent on it,"  the CJI said on Monday as per the TOI report.
