On Friday, Chief Justice Ravi Malimath of Madhya Pradesh High Court and Patron M.P. State Judicial Academy, Jabalpur inaugurated the Capacity Building Special Training Programme for Advocates with zero to five-year experience at the Madhya Pradesh High Court, Bench at Gwalior. 

Justice Rohit Arya, Administrative Judge, Justice Anand Pathak, Member Governing Council, MPSJA and Judges of High Court of M.P., Bench at Gwalior were present at the inauguration. 

While addressing the gathering Chief Justice Malimath highlighted the importance of training for advocates and said that " the standard of the Bench depends on the standard of the Bar because unless the foundation is strong you cannot build a tower on that.”

According to the direction of the Chief Justice to ensure that training reaches every corner of the State, the first-of-its-kind training for advocates was designed in three fragments namely; Foundation Training Programme for Advocates at the District level, Regional Workshop for Advocates targeting group of districts and Special Workshop for Advocates focusing on lawyers practising at High court. Till date 10 such programmes are conducted at the behest of the Chief Justice for budding advocates and this one was the 11th programme in the series. 124 advocates participated in the programme, making the overall count of beneficiaries of these programmes over 3800, according to the press release issued. 

The training session was Chaired by Justice Rohit Arya and was moderated by Retired District Judge Awadhesh Shrivastava, and Advocate Vijay Dutt Sharma.

During the inaugural programme Director of M.P. State Judicial Academy, Krishnamurty Mishra, in his welcome address gave brief information regarding the scheme and methodology of the training programme. 

Officers of Registry High Court of M.P. and MPSJA, Office bearers and members of the High Court Bar Association were also present at the inaugural programme.
