The Registrar of the National Company Law Tribunal (“NCLT”) has issued an administrative order dated 08.05.2024, intimating that in NCLT Benches, advocates, litigants, interns and advocate clerks/court clerks will not be entertained for any administrative or registry work beyond 05:00 PM.

  1. The Registrar notified that working hours of NCLT Benches is provided as per Rule 10 of NCLT Rules, 2016 read as follows:

“10. Working hours.- (1) Except on Saturdays, Sundays and other National Holiday, the office of the Tribunal shall remain open on all working days from 09.30 A.M. to 6.00 P.M.

(2) The Filing Counter of the Registry shall be open on all working days from 10.30 AM to 5.00 P.M”

2. It is requested that the advocates, litigants, interns and advocate clerks/court clerks shall confined their office work between 10:30 A.M. to 05:00 P.M. which is the time specified as per Rule 10(2) above. This request has been made after taking note of certain issues on the security aspect of the institution and to avoid any breach thereof, in the interest of administration.

3. Consequently, advocates, litigants, interns and advocate clerks/court clerks will not be entertained for administrative or registry work beyond 05:00 P.M.

4. The co-operation of all stakeholders is requested for smooth functioning of the registry.

5. Officers of the Registry, NCLT are directed to maintain the above protocol without any breach.

The order has been issued by the Registrar with the approval of the Hon'ble President of NCLT.
